Volunteer Opportunities

Mentor
Christian woman willing to commit at least 2 hours weekly to impact a life as a volunteer encourager & friend for one woman on her journey toward self-sufficiency. Training required and provided. Time required: at least 2 hours weekly; and 1 hour per month for monthly mentor meeting
 
Class Instructor
Volunteer to assist in leading participants through our current curriculum “Seven Steps toward Self-Sufficiency”. It consists of seven 3 hour classes. Classes are offered at different times and are usually every other month. Time required: 3 hours once a week for 4 weeks
 
Financial Accountability Coach
Volunteer to meet with a participant once a month, coaching her on how to manage a budget. Training provided. Time required: 1 or 2 hours per month
 
Special Events Volunteer
Volunteer to help with an event in one of the following ways: provide a meal; set-up; clean-up; help at the event.
Time required: 2 hours
 
Children & Youth activities Volunteer
Volunteer to provide a special activity for children or youth during a special event, or assist others with activities. Time required: 2 hours

Fundraiser Volunteer
Volunteer to help promote, set-up, clean-up, conduct fundraiser for CWJC. Many volunteers are needed to carry out our annual fundraisers. Some examples are Walkathon, Silent Auction, Gospel Singing, and World Changers meals. Time required: 1-3 hours, depending upon event.
 
Board Member
Volunteers serving in this capacity act as voting members of the Board of Directors. Board members participate in the development, operation, and evaluation of the ministry and oversee the ministry. They are advocates for the ministry. The Board of Directors meets once a month and committees meet as necessary. Board members serve a three year term, unless filling an incomplete vacancy term.
